The Floral family

Floral notes are fundamental ingredients in perfumery, and are some of the most widely used, especially for feminine perfumes.

From fresh flowers, like lily of the valley and honeysuckle, to intoxicating floralcy, like tuberose and gardenia, the floral family offers an incredibly vast palette to the perfumer.
For some, perfumes will be built around a single flower, like Floral Rose (inspired by Le Labo Fragrances’ Rose 31), while others will utilize multiple flowers within one scent, like a combination of jasmine, orange blossom, and ylang-ylang.
In these cases, we have what could be considered a "floral bouquet". Floral Ylang Ylang (inspired by Chanel’s Gabriel) or Floral Honeysuckle (inspired by Gucci’s Bloom) are excellent examples of this.
