Citrus Matcha

Something has changed. I just finished a bottle of this fragrance and I know this is not the same perfume I used to sniff my wrists forever after a put it on because the matcha smell was so good and that stayed on my clothes forever. I used to spray it on my clothes in my suitcase and in my last trip to Brazil, my clothes smelled like it when I opened the suitcase there. Where is the matcha? Where is the perfume I expected to find. This is the second bottle I am about to return today. So disappointed!

Spending $8 to return 2 different perfumes and have to start from scratch now, but somewhere else for sure!

I got the fragrance a week ago and when I sprayed it the matcha and citrus were incredibly strong to the point that I was getting nauseous. I let it sit for the week and decided to see how it settled today. OMG is this not a whole different perfume! This is now so balanced so beautiful and so creamy. The blend of the fig, citrus, green matcha just lovely. It is fresh, ever so slightly sweet, and creamy. I have over 80 perfumes, and I would place this as one of my top favorites especially in warmer weather. Uplifting but relaxing all at the same time. Gorgeous and unique!

Unfortunately, this smells much better sprayed on paper than on my skin. The opening is spicy and also quite herbal, a bit soapy, and milky. But the drydown on my skin smells of dirt and brown herbs, and is quite similar to Sage & Black Tea Renew. It reminds me of the smell of a Pier 1 Imports store. I remember Le Labo's being sweeter and more figgy in the drydown.

Very clean and sharp smell. You definitely get the bitter orange at the top. It then settles into a slightly sweet , oak, and citrus smell that is really pleasant. My only problem with it, is it doesn't last long. It definitely started to lose it's robustness around the 5 hour mark. Otherwise a lovely clean smell, that's gives me reminders of dolce and gobannas light blue por femme but less sweet.
